Orange County is growing, and that’s a sign of our success. But growth only improves quality of life if our infrastructure and public services keep pace.

As Mayor, Stephanie Murphy will make sure we plan ahead instead of playing catch-up. She will improve permitting, deliver infrastructure projects on time and on budget, and ensure roads, parks, public safety, and other essential services are ready before growth outpaces our community. Smart growth means protecting the neighborhoods we love while creating new opportunities for the future.

Too many families, teachers, nurses, first responders, hospitality workers, and young professionals are being priced out of the community they call home.

Stephanie believes Orange County must increase the supply of attainable housing while preserving the character of our neighborhoods. She will streamline permitting, encourage responsible development, and partner with the private sector to create more housing options so families can afford to build their futures here.

Getting around Orange County shouldn’t be a daily frustration.

Stephanie will invest in a modern transportation system that connects residents to jobs, schools, healthcare, and entertainment. That means improving roads, reducing congestion, expanding transit options, and making strategic infrastructure investments that support both our growing economy and the people who power it.

Homelessness is a complex challenge that requires both compassion and accountability.

Stephanie will strengthen partnerships with nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, employers, law enforcement, and local governments to address the root causes of homelessness. By using data-driven strategies that emphasize prevention, treatment, housing stability, and public safety, Orange County can improve outcomes for individuals while protecting the quality of life in every neighborhood.

As a mom, Stephanie knows every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. She will strengthen partnerships with our schools, colleges, universities, and workforce organizations to expand job training, apprenticeships, mentorship opportunities, and career pathways. Preparing residents for tomorrow’s economy will help attract better jobs while giving young people more reasons to build their futures in Orange County.

Stephanie believes everyone should have the opportunity to succeed through hard work.

As Mayor, she will focus on growing and diversifying Orange County’s economy by attracting higher-paying industries, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, and preparing workers for the jobs of the future. A stronger economy means higher wages, greater opportunity, and a higher quality of life for every family.
